Driving Directions from Anchorage to the Riverside Launch at the Deshka River
Exit Anchorage north on the Glenn Highway. Travel approximately 35 miles where you will come to the junction of the Glenn and George Parks Highway. Stay to the left and go over the new overpass and it will take you straight into Wasilla and headed for Denali and Fairbanks. Do not take any exits.
Continue on the George Parks Highway through Houston and into Willow. Approximately 1 mile past Willow Elementary School you will see a sign on the right hand side that says, “Deshka Landing”. Just past that you will take a left onto Willow Creek Parkway.
Travel about 2 miles where you will see a small Deshka Landing sign where you will take a left onto Crystal Lake Road.
Travel another 2 1/2 miles and take a right onto Mishap.
You will go another 2 1/2 miles where you will see a large dirt lot on your right hand side with a sign that reads, “Riverside Launch”. This is a new launch this year and is about 150 yards before the Deshka Landing.
If we are not there we are on our way back from our previous charter and will be there shortly.
** You will need to bring along your fishing license (and King Salmon Stamp when fishing before July 14th) and lunch or snack. We will provide the rest.
